Terms of Service
Last updated: September 24, 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form an agreement between you and Keycodelogics governing your access to and use of Panic Button, its website, mobile application and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of accepting these Terms. The Service is not directed to children under 13. You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
3. What the Service does
Panic Button lets you configure emergency contacts and deliberately activate an SOS alert. Depending on your settings and permissions, an alert can send your identity, contact information and location through email, Telegram, WhatsApp and/or SMS; share a private alert page and live route; record an SOS video; and upload that recording to a connected Google Drive account.
4. Important safety notice
Panic Button is not an emergency-response service, alarm monitoring service or substitute for police, fire, medical or other official emergency services. Alerts depend on the device, battery, operating-system restrictions, permissions, GPS, internet and mobile networks, our systems and third-party providers. Delivery, timing, location accuracy, recording and availability are not guaranteed. In an emergency, contact the official emergency services available in your location whenever possible.
5. Permissions, emergency contacts and consent
- You decide whether to grant camera, microphone, contacts, notification and location permissions. Some features cannot work without the relevant permission.
- You must have a lawful basis or the contact's permission before adding their personal information or causing them to receive alerts.
- You are responsible for keeping contact details current and testing your configuration in a safe, non-emergency setting.
- You must not trigger false, deceptive, harassing or unlawful alerts.
6. Google Drive and SOS recordings
Connecting Google Drive is optional. If connected, completing an SOS recording automatically starts an upload through our server to your Drive using the drive.file permission. The server relays the recording and does not retain a local video copy. Panic Button makes the resulting Drive file viewable by anyone with its link so an emergency contact can watch it from the alert page. Anyone who obtains that link may view or forward it.
You control files stored in your Drive and may revoke Panic Button's Google authorization at any time. Disconnecting or deleting your Panic Button account does not automatically delete files already uploaded to Drive. See our Privacy Policy for complete data-handling details.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to violate law or another person's rights; impersonate anyone; threaten, stalk or harass; distribute malware; interfere with the Service; bypass access controls; probe for vulnerabilities without written permission; overload notification channels; or access another user's account, alert link or data without authorization.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties such as Google, Google Drive, Google Play services, Telegram, Twilio, OpenStreetMap and hosting or network providers. Their own terms and privacy policies govern your use of their services. We do not control their availability, policies or processing times. Features may stop working if a provider changes or discontinues a service, if you revoke permission, or if your organization restricts access.
9. Purchases and charges
If you obtain the App through Google Play or another authorized store, purchases, billing, cancellations and refunds are also subject to that store's terms and applicable law. Your carrier or internet provider may charge for data, SMS or other network use. You are responsible for those third-party charges.
10. Availability and changes
We may maintain, update, replace or discontinue features to improve safety, security, compliance or operation. We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service or third parties.
11. Suspension, termination and deletion
You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion in the App or through our account-deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations of these Terms, unlawful use, security threats or conduct that harms users or the Service. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
12. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, visual identity and original content are owned by Keycodelogics or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of the Service to you.
13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that alerts will arrive, that a contact will respond, that a location or recording will be accurate, or that the Service will meet every emergency need. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those mandatory protections, Keycodelogics is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from network failure, third-party services, unauthorized link sharing, device configuration or use contrary to these Terms.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law or security practices. We will publish the current version and its effective date here. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice when required. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
15. General provisions
Applicable law governs these Terms and any dispute, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent.
